The Guardian Stone, called Zhenshan shibao 鎮山石寶,is the Temple’s signature landscape. It is engraved with Master Lee’s calligraphy of a verse from The Lotus Sutra: nianbi guanyin li念彼觀音力 (“The power of thinking of Guanyin). It speaks Bodhisattva Guanyin’s utmost compassion: At the thought of Guanyin, Guanyin’s power is with you whenever and wherever. It speaks also Forshang Dharma’s guardianship for all sentient beings. One expedient dharma concerning this Stone, as Master Lee instructed, is to take a picture with the Guardian Stone. If one were to encounter any troubles, one can look at the picture and one’s affliction will be cleared up.
